I have to say that Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is not the kind of game for those of you that want something you can just jump in and have a quick game of. A huge amount of what you do in this game and how successful you are on the battlefield comes down to what you do before the battle.

You are a hero that has a castle and you need to build upon this, hire troops, and more heroes, gather resources, and always be trying to improve what you have or get better. I was mind blown when the final campaign unlocked as it felt like the biggest game I had ever played at the time.Īt its core Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is a classic turn based strategy game and one of the best of this era in my humble opinion. Each one lets you experience a story from a different faction’s point of view and as someone who was new to this series at the time, I found it all fascinating. A Tale To Remember Back in the 90s (I want to say 96) we got our first family computer and for the time it was a beefy Packard Bell that could pretty much play anything that was out at the time and a couple of years later my old man went all in with PC gaming and we ended up with a Compaq machine that was state of the art for its day.
